This small rural village clusters around the main street, high on the North side of Esk Dale, overlooking the village of Sleights.

Heading on the A171 towards Whitby you pass the Aislaby Moor car park on the right and shortly see Moor Lane which takes you into Aislaby. If heading out of Whitby, shortly after passing the turnoff for the A169 you should turn left down Aislaby Lane which takes you into the heart of the village
