Relive the nostalgia of classic cars, bikes & buses while enjoying a steam train journey through the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors with additional events at Levisham station including a real ale beer tent, live music and miniature traction engines.

13/July/2014 Whitby Lifeboat Station Flag weekend at Whitby Bandstand
This is a fundraising weekend , with lots of attractions for all the family.There will be a host of stalls including home made baking, book stalls, Tombola and pick a peg.
There will be a classic car show with vehicles coming from Skipton. Bouncy castle and inflatable slides. A coconut shy which is always popular.
The RNLI Sea safety roadshow will also be in attendance. On both days both of Whitby's Lifeboats will be on display for the public to view. On the Sunday there will be a air sea rescue display with Whitby's trent class lifeboat. The George and Mary Webb, Whitby's inshore Lifeboat OEM Stone 111. Staithes Atlantic 75 and Runswick bay Rescues boats will also take part.
A Sea king helicopter from RAF Leconfield will also take part subject to operational availability.

31/July - 3/Aug/2014 Whitby & District Lions 5th Annual Beer Festival at Whitby Mission and Seafarer's Centre
Whitby & District Lions 5th Annual Beer Festival aims to raise money for various local charities and good causes as well as supporting Whitby Lions Disability Scooter Programme and the club’s efforts to raise awareness of diabetes. This year’s event will be held for the first time in a new venue in the Whitby Mission & Seafarers Centre, Haggersgate, Whitby. The festival which is open from Thursday 31st July to Sunday the 3rd August is a celebration of the finest local and regional handcrafted “Real Ales” produced by the best Micro Breweries.
