Swimming and Leisure Centres
For the adventurous there is the North Sea, however if swimming in the sea familiarise yourself with details of tides and currents before taking a dip. For those wishing for a little more comfort there is a Swimming pool at Whitby and another at Loftus.
Both of these Leisure Centres offer other facilities as well as swimming pools so if you are looking for other services (Like a gym for example), then check out the website for each specific centre to get information as to what is on offer.
